M. Carpenter’s story of a convict trying to survive on an alien planet is intense and unexpectedly funny. The strange characters and humor kept me hooked.

This book is more than just action. It’s about mental and physical freedom. The Minotaur is scary, but Martin’s biggest challenge is his own mind.
